We are currently recruiting for Colour Consultants to join the team in our new Limerick Store in Raheen. We are looking for self-motivated, commercially minded Colour Consultants who are passionate about colour, who enjoy approaching and selling to customers, and who will provide enthusiastic, professional, and best in class service to our customers in line with our ethos.

Our Colour Consultants work with customers to help choose colours/colour schemes and to give advice on interior design questions in relation to our products.  Consultations with customers are carried out in-store and occasionally at customer homes, businesses and other premises or sites. The ideal person will have an Interior Design & Retail background with exceptional communication and product knowledge skills.  You will be a self-starter and a team player with a drive for generating and closing sales.

You will stay up to date with the latest trends and you will develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of products carried by the company along with pricing structures in order to deliver accurate information and advice to our customers. As a member of the sales team, you will really get to know our customers and what they are looking for; it’s everything from helping them find the perfect product, to stocking the shelves, to merchandising, to taking deliveries, to stocktaking, to getting behind an in-store promotion.

Experience/Skills Required

  • Qualification in Interior Design or similar, or extensive previous experience in Colour Consultancy and/or Interior Design role.
  • Interior Design experience ideal, examples of work will be required
  • Flexible in relation to hours/days of work
  • Be comfortable using computerised equipment such as cash tills and stock systems.
  • Must have a full driving licence with own transport.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join the team in our new Limerick store in Raheen. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager will assist in leading and co-ordinating the day-to-day activities for the store.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Ability to consistently deliver great customer experiences — no matter what the situation
  • Support and work alongside the Store Manager in ensuring the store reaches and maintains standards
  • Deputise for the Store Manager in his/her absence, assuming full responsibility for the day to day running of the Store
  • Drive effective communications within the store by leading by example and ensuring timely and consistent communications
  • Assist with and deliver in-store promotional activities. Work closely with Management to ensure merchandise is displayed in a commercial manner designed to maximise its potential
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company health and safety regulations and policies
  • Responsible for assisting with the management of the team. Ensure all team members are trained in and demonstrate the Pat McDonnell Customer Ethos
  • Deliver excellent customer service consistently in store by taking an active role in staff training and development

We are currently recruiting for a Store Manager to join the team in our new Limerick Store in Raheen. This position, as part of the national Management team, will provide participative leadership and operational management, including the start-up and setup of the Limerick business unit in this customer focused organisation. The post-holder will exhibit professionalism with a commitment to ‘Exceptional Customer Service’ whilst organising and delivering an efficient store operation in order to meet the budgetary and financial goals of the business unit.  Responsible for the day to day management activity with involvement in all facets of the operation.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Maintain highest possible standards of customer service throughout the store.
  • Oversee business unit budget/operating costs.  Contribute to budgeting and forecasting of operations for financial planning.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, customers and external bodies.
  • Manage and control stock levels in an efficient and cost effective manner to ensure that sufficient and appropriate levels of products are available for customers at all times.
  • Deliver exemplary standards in store presentation, as well as maximising layout and merchandising techniques to provide excellent availability and well-merchandised shelves/stock to ensure that customers are satisfied with their shopping experience.
  • Establish, manage and co-ordinate effective communication with your team, sales representative, the management team and customers.
  • Ensure set quality standards are met and continuously improved upon
  • Undertake administration work and reporting in a timely manner as and when required.
  • Ensure a safe and productive workplace where legislative and commercial obligations are consistently met.  Manage day-to-day activity to ensure adherence to safety, health, housekeeping and environmental regulations.
  • Keep up to date on latest trends within the industry in general and the local marketplace specifically.
  • Maintain strict security control at all times and ensure that all related company policies are adhered to.

Knowledge & Skills Required

5+years experience with a proven track record with Retail management experience in a progressive retail organisation.  Proven success in consistently achieving targets or working to deadlines in a customer and/or Sales environment.  Experience of managing direct reports and multiple teams.
