Wallpaper Advice I
2015 rolls on and so does the design world. Individuality, creativity and showing unique character of a project are becoming more essential trends. Both traditional and digital wallpaper have a huge role to play in this. Wallpaper introduces another dimension, tells a story and adds flavor to the scheme. With the invention of nonwoven wallpapers, it is easy to remove from the wall when they become outdated. There is nothing wrong with layering various patterns on top of each other as time goes by. Once you get tired of one paper instead of ripping it off the walls, wallpaper over it over and over again. This is often done in France for instance, I call it cultural differences. Of course follow the course of action that suits best to you.
Nonwoven wallpaper technical qualities
Nonwoven wallcovering substrates are produced on a paper machine from a mixture of long fiber cellulose pulps and textile fibers combined with binders. The web is reinforced with acrylates and pigments are added to provide opacity. Special additives are used provide wet strength and absorbency. Nonwovens provide a substrate that is dimensionally stable when wet thus allowing a paste the wall technique to be used for hanging. They are huge time savers because there is no need to pre-paste a sheet of paper and book it while you work on another piece. Non-woven wallpaper is easy to install, and it’s reusable. Because it doesn’t expand when the adhesive contacts the backing, you can remove the wallpaper from the wall and reattach it if there is ever a need to do a plumbing or electrical repair behind the wall.
Nonwoven wallpapers are breathable, which eliminates vapor lock that contributes to the cause of mold and mildew. Because these wallpapers are able to breathe, this makes them a perfect application for kitchens and bathrooms. These wallcoverings are also tear-resistant. This is a great advantage
as the wallpapers will not get torn during installation or removal. Nonwoven wallpapers are made of a special blend of natural and synthetic fibers, making them washable and breathable. These fibers can be found in many household products such as tea bags, coffee filters and gauze.
