Colour Palette from Salone del Mobile Milan 2015 with Dulux Ireland “Forgivingness”

FORGIVINGNESS is another movement that seemed to gain attention. This has been introduced to interiors by depth of colour, layering and unusual combinations. The look talks about calm after storm and of complete relaxation.

ForgivingnessThe layering idea was witnessed in rugs, art work, painted boards. As if it is ok not be able to decide which one to hang? Or perhaps we cannot come to an agreement which one suits best? The perfect solution is to have them all on the floor! Are we becoming more forgiving? Is it another form of consumerism to give us choice so we can admire many items? Or is “Forgivingness” trend about just being totally relaxed in our surroundings.
Asymmetry, drama and organic values were dominant themes among many companies. Blues, grey-greens, blue-greys, broken white and crisp white suit this category well.

For the Forgivingness colour palette inspiration think of hues such as: lambs wool, vanilla ice cream, raspberry, rouge red, almost aqua, green tint, faded denim, hushed violet, iris, lavender grey, cloud grey.
